On 15 November 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., in the "Prof. Marin Drinov" hall at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, a seminar was held on the topic "Status and prospects in the digitization of biological collections at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research and the National Museum of Natural History at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences ".

The seminar was organized within the project "Upgrading the scientific infrastructure "Distributed system of scientific collections - Bulgaria (DiSSCo-BG): Stage 1" and presented the progress achieved in the digitization of scientific collections in the two institutions, the problems and prospects for continuing the process in the third year of the project.
